Young Owen leads a withdrawn and unexcited life in the suburbs. One day he meets a classmate who wants to show him the TV series "The Pink Opaque". His initial fascination increasingly develops into an obsession. As time marches on, Owen immerses himself deeper and deeper in the series until the boundaries between reality and fiction become blurred.
