Zeichenworkshop Gedankenbilder
In the organizer's words:
In this workshop, ideas come to life!
We’ll take exciting or personal quotes from letters written by Eva Mamlok and turn them into pictures. Drawing, writing, and colors will be combined into a unique work of art where text and image come together. Whether calm, wild, or totally creative—anything goes.
Eva Mamlok was a young woman who resisted the Nazis during the Nazi era. The plaza in front of the Amerika-Gedenkbibliothek will be named after her in the fall of 2026.
More information about Eva Mamlok’s background can be found here:https://www.stolpersteine-berlin.de/de/lindenstrasse-neuenburger-strasse/1/eva-mamlok
The workshop will be led by Alexandra Weltz-Rombach, who is part of a research network on Eva Mamlok, and the artist Ursula Böckler.
The number of participants is limited to 10. Arriving early ensures a spot.Ages 14 and up; adults must be accompanied by a young person.
The workshop is part of the initiative “Utopian Memory – Participatory Youth Projects at Eva-Mamlok-Platz.”
