Short description: We invite everyone who would like to draw together or learn to draw to our drawing circle. Led by artists from Leipzig and the surrounding area, the circle enables an open exchange about the medium of drawing. Various techniques will be tried out: Sometimes closer to the traditional concept of drawing, sometimes further away from it. In May and June, Marlet Heckhoff will lead our drawing circle. Together with the participants, the artist will explore what a line is and what it can do, whether in a controlled, perspective view of things and architecture or intuitively and freely. Heckhoff studied at the Bauhaus University in Weimar and at the Academy of Visual Arts in Leipzig, where she graduated as a master student. In her paintings, she takes up architectural fragments - massive surfaces, rhythmic grids, modular forms - and transforms them into painterly constructions.
