ZiMa Bremen
In the organizer's words:
ZiMa is a two-day cultural festival in downtown Bremen. On July 25 and 26, 2026, everything here will revolve around zines, comics, and print media. From illustration to collage to photography, there’s something for everyone.
At this year’s Artist Alley, over 50 artists from Bremen and beyond will be showcasing their work!
In various workshops, the artists will show you how to draw comics and characters, create a Riso print, and work together to make your own zine. There will also be talks on various topics from the world of zines.
In the craft corner, you can let your creativity run wild all weekend long. At the zine swap, you can trade your own zines for others’, or buy and sell secondhand comics, zines, and more at the Bring & Buy.
And this year, there’s another Indie Publishing Reading: On Saturday evening, independent authors and illustrators will showcase and read from their self-published and unpublished works. The reading takes place from 7:00 PM to 9:30 PM at the Weserburg, Teerhof 20.
If all this sounds familiar but the name ZiMa doesn’t ring a bell: For the past two years, we were known as the Zine Market. But we offer much more than just zines—and much more than just a market. Come check us out!
Accessibility: There is one step at the entrance. A ramp will be set up, but it can also be removed if needed. A wheelchair-accessible restroom is available and can be reached via an elevator. The path to the elevator is clearly marked. The event organizers are happy to assist at any time.
