How do rebellious bodies form themselves in their protest against existing systems? What strategies are used to question power relations and protest against them? Following the successful production "Radical Cheerleading", which was nominated for the German Theater Prize Der Faust 2023, Zufit Simon and her team are continuing their research into choreographed forms of protest.
What creativity can be unleashed in physical expression to attract public attention and focus attention on one's own message? What is specific to female protest and how can we stand up for our rights in a peaceful way? What role do acoustic signals and the use of the voice play in this?
The focus is on the ambivalence of bodies that act powerfully but are open and vulnerable: oscillating between power and vulnerability.
