On Sunday, May 10 at 6 p.m., the Klangbrücke in Aachen will be the venue for a special musical confluence.
Together with the Peruvian singer-songwriter Luz María Carriquiry, five local musicians will create an evening in which influences from Peru, Argentina, Ecuador, Morocco, Syria and Germany come together.
Different life paths, countries of origin and musical languages come together in Aachen under the title Zusammenfluss (confluence) . Many of the participating artists have come here with their music, their stories and their cultural influences in their luggage.
Oriental instruments such as the oud, ney and kawala interweave with Latin American rhythms and songs in Spanish, French, Arabic and Portuguese. The result is a sound that transcends borders and creates something completely unique.
