In his new film, Mannheim director Mario Di Carlo accompanies 40 young musicians and dancers from all over the world who met for ten days in the summer of 2023 at Lichtenberg Castle near Kusel to learn different folk music and dance styles from each other as part of the "Ethno Germany" project. The ten days ended with a concert. One of the special features of the project is that the music is passed on exclusively by ear and without sheet music. As soon becomes apparent, it is about much more than "just" music, but rather about the questions: How do we want to live together? How do we want to treat each other? Music and dance not only serve the joy of creating together, but also as a means of communication between people.
