Plata and Salud have an unusual job: on behalf of Salud's brother, they deliberately bring down various airplanes so that he can collect the insurance money. But something goes wrong on one of their flights and the two of them crash in the middle of the jungle. There they meet Matto, who belongs to a tribe of emerald prospectors who are being exploited by the corrupt businessman Mr. Ears. Plata and Salud sense their opportunity and open their own business, offering far better conditions than Mr. Ears and are successful. But the unscrupulous Mr. Ears won't give up his business without a fight and destroys the two friends' premises. Plata and Salud are not going to take this lying down and fight back with all their might.
