A desert in the final days of the Second World War. Two soldiers lie dying on a deserted battlefield. They can't see each other, but they can hear each other. An English airman and a German soldier speak to themselves, try to make contact with each other, long for closeness, then recoil again - is that a person opposite? An enemy? An animal? In her final production, directing graduate Julia Gudi devotes herself to a world premiere by the author Maria Lazar, whose work, which was thought to be lost, is currently experiencing a renaissance.
