The TUM Architecture Museum is an institution of the Department of Architecture of the TUM School of Engineering and Design at the Technical University of Munich. The combination of university - research, exhibition, teaching - and museum is unique in Germany.

Our program:

1. exhibitions dealing with a changing role of architecture in times of global challenges. The focus is on social, political and ecological questions about the future of spatial design, such as our future coexistence, the development of cities, participatory planning and building in times of climate change.

2. exhibitions that draw on the rich and valuable collection of drawings, models and photographs from the archive of the TUM Museum of Architecture.

3. monographic exhibitions of internationally outstanding architects whose work is little or not at all known in Germany.

Our exhibitions are usually developed in preparatory seminars with TUM architecture students and experts from TUM or other academic institutions; they are research-based and interdisciplinary. Our aim is to stimulate discourse on architecture as a socially relevant discipline.

All exhibitions are accompanied by a broad, public supporting program.
