The Arena Wien is Austria's largest alternative cultural and communication center and is located at Baumgasse 80 in Vienna's 3rd district Landstraße. The site is housed in a striking industrial building and has an eventful history: it was occupied and fought for by citizens before establishing itself as a permanent fixture in Vienna's cultural landscape.

The Arena sees itself as an alternative cultural center that is particularly dedicated to youth culture and a wide range of concerts and music events. The event area comprises several areas: the DreiRaum, a small hall, a large hall, an open-air area and an open-air cinema in summer.

The range of events is enormous - from international music stars to clubbing, theater, film and community events. The arena is run by the non-profit association Forum Wien Arena, which aims to run an open and accessible cultural center for everyone, where visitors of all kinds can find their way.
