The Buddhist Center Bremen, Am Stern, was founded more than 30 years ago and belongs to the Karma Kagyu lineage, one of the oldest schools of Tibetan Buddhism. Its head is the 17th Karmapa Thaye Dorje. It teaches Diamond Way Buddhism, which makes it possible to combine spiritual development with everyday, professional and family life. The meditations strengthen inner freedom, joy, compassion and energy. Buddha's teaching is based on personal responsibility and knows no dogmas: nothing has to be believed, everything can be verified on the basis of one's own experience. The center is run on a voluntary basis and offers an introduction to Buddhism every Thursday at 19:00 and a half-hour guided meditation every Monday, Thursday and Friday at 20:00 and Tuesday at 19:00. Those interested can always attend free of charge and without registration.

Das Zentrum öffnet 30 Minuten vor den Veranstaltungen und schließt 30 bis 60 Minuten danach. Angeleitete Meditation zum Mitmachen (Dauer: 1/2 Stunde) wird Mo, Do, Fr um 20:00 und Di um 19:00 angeboten; eine Einführung in den Buddhismus jeden Do um 19:00 (Dauer: 1 Stunde). Die Angebote sind kostenlos, keine Anmeldung nötig. Bitte pünktlich da sein.
