Café, bakery, Italian wine shop and a cozy terrace for warm summer evenings - that's what Café Ruffini stands for and so much more - Café Ruffini is much more than just a café:
At Ruffini, you can experience a philosophy all of its own: a self-managed collective of 26 partners, all of whom are co-owners. Here, networking, teamwork and consensus are the basis for all decisions - sometimes complex, but deeply rooted in a sense of community
Ambitious & authentic - Responsibility is shared, decision-making processes are democratic, not hierarchical.
Identification & loyalty - Many employees stay at Ruffini for their entire working life, many guests have been loyal for decades
Lively variety - breakfast, changing daily specials, Italian cuisine in the evening, over 30 wines by the glass, sunny roof terrace - supplemented by wine trade, own bakery, delicatessen & catering
You are very welcome to linger in the café and wine house. You have various options for food and drinks at different times of the day.
Saturday & Sunday there is no hot food
In addition to the café and wine house, you also have the opportunity to take a little Ruffini home with you. The offer includes:
At Café Ruffini, collective doesn't just mean collaboration, but real participation: Everyone who works here is also a co-owner of the business. There are no bosses, no hierarchies in the traditional sense - decisions are made together. This requires a willingness to compromise, but also strengthens the bond with the company and with each other. Everyone pulls together, bears responsibility and plays an active role in shaping the company. Power relations, as we know them from many companies, are deliberately avoided here - in favor of equality and joint development. If you would like to find out more about working together as a collective at Café Ruffini, take a look here .
Café Ruffini is located in the Neuhausen district and is generally easy to reach. It is only a few meters' walk from Rotkreuzplatz, where both the U1 and U7 lines depart. The Neuhausen, Albrechtstraße and Donnersbergerbrücke stops are also within walking distance.
Café Ruffini is not a purely vegetarian or vegan café, but offers a varied menu including meat and egg dishes. Nevertheless, vegetarian dishes are labeled and there are milk alternatives in the form of oat milk for coffee & co. The first two breakfast options consisting of either a hot drink, croissant with spread or a hot drink, organic muesli with yoghurt or milk, honey and served with a small glass of orange juice are just examples of vegetarian options. There are also egg and bread dishes. For vegan options or allergies, it is worth taking a look at the current menu. The menu is divided into daily and evening specials. The daily changing menu is displayed on the board opposite the entrance door.
As already mentioned, Café Ruffini is more than just a café. Various events take place here on a regular basis - from summer festivals to wine tastings and many other cultural events. You can also download the monthly wine letter
To make sure you don't miss anything, check out Rausgegangen, Instagram or the Café Ruffini website regularly.
Café Ruffini does not offer a classic take-away or delivery service for food, but there are other options.
Wine trade
Wines are sent to retail and wholesale customers from all over Germany. There is no direct internet trade, so you have to contact Ruffini directly. Wine is delivered free in Munich from 170,- order value (first floor, Monday to Friday, for Saturday and Sunday ask for prices). Here you can find the wine list and delivery conditions. For deliveries, the bottle price applies, not the box price for self-collection. Delivery time agreements are made by telephone. For non-cash payments a service fee of 3,- € will be charged.
Cake
Cakes are also delivered, but you should call Café Ruffini in advance. In the Munich city area, deliveries are made from Monday to Friday. There is a minimum order value of 15,- € plus costs for the car courier. If the cake costs less, you can add a baguette, a bottle of wine, olive oil or coffee. For non-cash payments, a service charge of €3 will also be charged. It is also possible to pay by paypal or bank transfer. You can find more information here .
Buffet and event catering service
The café also offers a buffet and event catering service if you are planning a larger celebration. It doesn't matter whether it's private or business, a family celebration or event catering. From finger food to a multi-course menu, you have the choice - if there are 30 or more people, remember to enquire at Ruffini in good time.
