International DANCE Festival München

DANCE is the international dance biennial of the state capital of Munich. Since 1987, DANCE has presented a diverse program ranging from newcomers and internationally emerging artists to world-renowned choreographers and companies as well as an extensive supporting and discourse program in various Munich venues, theaters, museums and public spaces in 18 editions to date.

The 19th edition of the International DANCE Festival Munich, which will take place from May 22 to June 1, 2025, will be directed by Tobias Staab for the first time. Continuing the successful line of the festival, he will focus on the interweaving of contemporary dance with visual arts, but also with subcultural dance styles from different communities. For the upcoming festival edition, new venues in Munich will be opened up and a new festival center will be established as a meeting point and exchange platform for a wide-ranging audience.
