Deutsches Theater Berlin is one of the most important spoken theater stages in the German-speaking world. Behind its elegant neoclassical façade, the theater in Schumannstraße, which emerged from the "Friedrich-Wilhelm-Städtisches Theater", now houses three stages: the DT stage with approx. 600 seats, the Kammer with approx. 230 seats and the Box, a variable venue with a maximum of 80 seats that has existed since 2006. Iris Laufenberg has been the theater's artistic director since the 2023/2024 season.
