.dott - Dortmund dance and theater scene is an association of currently around 50 artists and cultural professionals from the independent performing arts in Dortmund. The initiative connects actors in the scene with each other and aims to provide a platform for the broad spectrum of artists to exchange artistic ideas, get involved in cultural policy and give a 'voice' to the artistic quality of the Dortmund scene. The performing arts in Dortmund are diverse, diverse and inclusive, operate in the fields of art and mediation and enhance the cultural landscape of the city, but also reach far beyond the city.

.dott was founded in the fall of 2017 and meets once a quarter. The organizational structure of the network essentially consists of three board members, an advisory board, three coordinators and working groups. It has been funded by the City of Dortmund since 2019 and a non-profit association was founded for this purpose in February 2020. In addition to regular meetings within the network, to which actors from politics and institutions relevant to the performing arts scene are also invited, more activities are being initiated that contribute to the greater public visibility of the independent performing arts.

The coordinators Birgit Götz (artist), Aylin Kreckel (theater scholar) and Stella Pischke (cultural scientist) plan and manage the day-to-day business as well as the core activities of the network. Stella Pischke is the contact person for finances and association issues. The contact person for public relations and IT is Aylin Kreckel.
