The Düsseldorfer Marionetten-Theater is located in the heart of Düsseldorf's Carlstadt district.
Its repertoire includes 22 full-length productions of all kinds, from fairy tales and fables to fantastic literature and classical and modern musical theater. With over 1,300 performances, Michael Ende's "Wishing Punch" has long since become a cult play, closely followed by Mozart's "Magic Flute".
Everything that can be seen on stage is largely created in the company's own theater workshops. Figures, props and backdrops are made by the ensemble of players according to designs by theater director Anton Bachleitner, who also does the sculpting himself.
