E-WERK Freiburg provides a forum for the young and innovative cultural and art scene. With around 400 events a year, E-WERK Freiburg presents current artistic positions at the interface of theater, dance, music, discourse, visual arts and performance. The spectrum ranges from smaller projects to international festivals, with numerous new productions and performances by independent theater and dance ensembles, rock and pop concerts, as well as classical and new music concerts and exhibitions.

Originally built as an electricity station, E-WERK Freiburg is now a socio-cultural center that gives everyone access to culture. It is a driving force for socio-political discourse, innovative art and cultural exchange. In addition to our stages, E-WERK Freiburg also houses 30 studios for visual artists, independent art schools and various theaters. With the SÜDUFER venue, E-WERK Freiburg operates a house for rehearsals, artistic experiments and studio productions.

As a socio-cultural center, it receives institutional funding from the city of Freiburg and the state of Baden-Württemberg. E-WERK is amember ofLAKS Baden-Württemberg, the state association of sociocultural centers . The association E-WERK Freiburg e.V. is responsible for the cultural center at E-WERK.

Unser Büro ist von Montag bis Donnerstag 10:00-16:00 Uhr und freitags 10:00-14:00 Uhr besetzt.
An Veranstaltungstagen ist das Haus, die Abendkasse und die Foyer-Bar FLUXUS ab einer Stunde vor Veranstaltungsbeginn geöffnet.
