Since its foundation in 2009, the Frankfurt LAB has established itself as an important venue for contemporary performing arts and music in the Rhine-Main region. It combines renowned ensembles with the promotion of up-and-coming artists and offers artists optimal conditions for working on a spacious stage and in a flexible studio area. In addition to international guest performances and festivals, the LAB promotes up-and-coming artists through residency programs and cooperation with educational institutions. It offers the public not only performances, but also discussion events and workshops that encourage critical exchange and the exploration of new, diverse forms of expression.
