Concerts, free Wi-Fi, a library for everyone, dance events, movies, club nights, workshops, and much more. The Gasteig HP8 offers culture and space for Munich.

Since October 2021, the cultural center has called Hans-Preißinger-Straße 8 in Sendling its new home, where it’s open to everyonedaily from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m.Not only are the Munich Philharmonic, the Adult Education Center, the City Library, and the University of Music and Performing Arts based here, but over 1,000 cultural events take place here annually—many of them free of charge.  

Gasteig HP8 includes theIsarphilharmonie, Munich’s most modern concert hall with seating for 1,900, andHall E, which houses the City Library’s Open Library. In addition to a diverse range of media resources, visitors will find a place to read and study here. In addition, the historic Hall E houses, among other things, the central information and ticket counter, the registration and information desk for the Munich Adult Education Center, and a reading café where you can enjoy coffee and homemade cake along with the latest newspapers and magazines. The Projektor regularly hosts film series and children’s movie screenings. InthemultifunctionalHall X, visitors can enjoy events such as readings, club nights, and chamber concerts.
