The HALLE Tanzbühne Berlin is the venue of the internationally renowned cie. toula limnaios - one of the most successful contemporary dance ensembles in Germany. The company was founded in 1996 by the choreographer Toula Limnaios and the composer Ralf R. Ollertz.

In the HALLE, visitors experience contemporary dance in a special proximity between stage and audience. The repertoire ranges from intense duets to large ensemble works and is characterized by a clear choreographic signature, poetic imagery and specially composed music. The company puts on around 60 to 70 performances a year in Berlin and on tour.

The HALLE itself is a listed building dating back to 1870, which has been converted into a modern production and performance venue. In addition to its own productions, it regularly presents guest performances and offers space for artistic exchange. A new choreographic center with a rehearsal stage, artists' apartments and workspaces is currently being built on the site - a further step towards establishing the HALLE as an open and future-oriented venue for contemporary dance in Berlin.
