The HFF Munich was founded in 1966 and started teaching in 1967 - accordingly, the film school celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2017. Since 2011, it has been housed in the new building on Bernd-Eichinger-Platz in the heart of Munich's art district. You can apply to the following degree programs at the HFF Munich:

• Directing Cinema and Television Film (with an optional focus on editing)
• Documentary Film & Television Journalism (with an optional focus on editing)
• Production & Media Business
• Screenwriting
• Image Design (with an optional focus on cinematography or VFX)

The subjects Media Studies and Technology are compulsory for all students. In the course of their studies, students can deepen their knowledge in various areas such as advertising, creative writing or serial storytelling .

The current application tasks are available onlineat www.hff-muenchen.deon November 15 of each year . The annual open day takes place in January.
