Junges Schauspiel im Central — D’haus

The Junges Schauspiel was founded in 1976 as a division of the Düsseldorfer Schauspielhaus, was given its own venue in an old factory building in the north-east of Düsseldorf in 1993 and moved to Central am Hauptbahnhof in September 2025. Today, it is the largest children's and youth theater in North Rhine-Westphalia and one of the most renowned in Germany. It has a permanent ensemble of eight actors (plus guests) and produces six new productions per season with around 60,000 spectators. The Junges Schauspiel is invited to guest performances and festivals in NRW, Germany and all over the world.
