Kangaroo Island

In the location's words:

It happened in June 1999, when the Schlachte was still in its "original state". Only a few stores had settled in this beautiful spot in Bremen: Osteria, Moto, Paulaner ́s and the then LaPaLoMa. At that time, Nadine and I decided to embark on the adventure of self-employment.

While looking for a suitable location for this project, we came across a double garage. After several conversations, we found out that our object of desire had just been sold. However, it was to be converted and licensed for catering purposes. When we heard that the Holsten brewery was involved, we waved goodbye as we didn't want to sell Holsten. But the owner at the time gave us some interesting food for thought: "Why aren't you selling Foster ́s?" - and that gave us the idea: to open an Australian bar in Bremen!

It was a short but hard road from thought to implementation: we signed the contracts in July and managed to celebrate the opening on August 6, 1999 with a stroke of genius. Everything went haywire (as it should in the restaurant business), but we had made it: Bremen had come a step closer to Australia.
