nr30 - More than just a house number

The Catholic Education Center nr30 is an education center of the diocese of Mainz and part of the KEB in the diocese of Mainz and is located in the region of southern Hesse.

We are a member of the KEB (Katholische Erwachsenenbildung) Hessen and our offers are recognized by the state.

The main focus of our services is on vocational training, personal development, politics and society.

Most people who come to nr30 want to further their professional and personal development. Our focus is on promoting physical and mental health as well as developing skills in counseling and dealing with conflicts. In addition to training courses and further training in mediation, we offer other seminars in accordance with the German Education and Training Leave Act (Bildungsfreistellungsgesetz). We also devote ourselves to people's spiritual questions in our own events. We are actively involved in the network of adult education providers in the city of Darmstadt. Throughout the year, we offer series on socio-political topics and get involved in the debate on cultural diversity, tolerance, justice and the integrity of creation.

nr30 houses a well-stocked library. It contains mainly theological books. The library takes its name from the physicist and researcher Friedrich Dessauer (died 1963), from whose estate the library originated. There are also theological reference and textbooks as well as books from related fields (on questions of theology and science, art history, etc.).
