In the station building, which is now over 120 years old, the train service next door has become a marginal phenomenon. Instead, the district cultural center, which has become an integral part of Giesing due to its flair as a listed building, has developed into a meeting place of a completely different kind. I personally like to describe our Giesinger Kulturgleis as the living, beating heart of the entire south of Munich.
