The Music School of the City of Hanover will be presenting itself to the citizens of Hanover from 4 to 7 p.m. in the Marktkirche with three large ensembles: the youth symphony orchestra, the symphonic wind orchestra Windstärke 12 and the adult wind orchestra United Winds.

The Music School of the City of Hanover is a competent educational institution in the Department of Culture of the City of Hanover and provides children, young people and adults with comprehensive musical training and a wide range of opportunities for musical activity.

Our aim is to arouse interest in music, to promote social skills through music, to recognize and specifically promote special talents and abilities, to promote ensemble and orchestral playing, to competently support cooperation partners (such as general education schools and daycare centres) and to create opportunities for encounters.

We offer a wide range of lessons, starting with parent-child courses from the age of one, as well as almost all traditional and popular musical instruments and singing, right through to preparation for music studies. Participation in supplementary lessons, ensembles and orchestras is generally free of charge for students of the music school.
