The exhibition center in Messestadt Riem in the eastern Munich district of Trudering-Riem was built from 1994 to 1998. The 18 exhibition halls with a total area of 200,000 m² form the heart of the exhibition center. Depending on demand, a further 414,000 m² of open space to the north and east of the site can be used. Every year, numerous events from a wide range of sectors take place at the Munich trade fair center.
