Museum workshop featuring model building, a theater installation, and a diverse program of events
June 7 through July 5, 2026, Zenettistraße 11

“Mittendrin” is an open museum workshop featuring model building, theater installations, and a diverse program of events. The Munich City Museum is hosting the event at the former Viehhof and invites residents of the surrounding neighborhoods to discover, share, collect, and present history together. To this end, it is collaborating with the theater company “El Solar,” the “ichbaumit” project led by architecture educator Enrica Ferrucci, and, above all, with residents of Isarvorstadt and Sendling.

The project team aims to rediscover Munich’s city history, discuss it with Munich residents, and also take a critical look at the museum’s collections. To this end, it will be based at Zenettistraße 11 in the former Viehhof for one month and warmly invites anyone interested to participate or simply stop by.
