Hochschule für Künste Bremen – MS Dauerwelle

A very special - mobile - location of the Bremen University of the Arts (HfK) is on the Weser: the exhibition and event ship MS "Dauerwelle". The 53-metre-long, former passenger ship is a floating extension of the HfK Bremen and enables an encounter with the arts in the middle of the water. In May 2022, the ceremonial christening of the "Dauerwelle" took place at the central berth on the Bürgermeister-Smidt-Brücke opposite the Schlachte. The immediate proximity to the Weserburg and the Gesellschaft für Aktuelle Kunst (GAK) enables a direct exchange with central Bremen cultural players. Since its opening, exhibitions, workshops, lectures, concerts and performances have regularly taken place on the ship's three open decks and large hall.
