The motor ship Stubnitz is an 80-meter-long former refrigerated and transport ship of the GDR deep-sea fishing fleet from 1964, which was converted into an independent and mobile platform in 1992. It is a cultural center for contemporary live music, club culture, performances, exhibitions, conferences and events. Many concerts and performances have been recorded on audio and video and preserved in a media archive. In 2013, 2017, 2018 and 2021, the project received the federal "Applause" award for culturally outstanding live music programs. It is a seaworthy industrial monument, culture.spaceship, living museum, cultural heritage and has always remained outside of scenes and genres. We are a non-profit organization, a team of volunteers and dedicated individuals who are committed to ensuring that this shelter for culture and creativity exists and remains open to all.

It is a cultural center for contemporary live music, club culture, performances, exhibitions and conventions. Many of the concerts and performances have been recorded on both audio and video and preserved in a media archive down in the ship's belly. In 2013, 2017, 2018 and 2021 the Stubnitz received the federal award 'Applaus' for culturally outstanding live music program. It is a seagoing industrial monument and culture.spaceship in full operation, living museum and cultural heritage. Stubnitz has always remained outside of any scene or genre. We are a non-profit organization, a team of volunteers and like-minded individuals who take great passion to make this sanctuary for culture and creativity work and keep it open for everyone.
