At the end of the 19th century, the largest marshalling yard in Europe at the time was built in Laim - traces of which can still be seen here and there today. Today, Laim is a metropolitan and lively residential area - and centrally located at the Laimer Platz subway station is the district library for the neighborhood. It offers an up-to-date and extremely varied range of media on two levels. Art exhibitions and exhibitions on local topics as well as the cooperation with the MVHS enrich the program.
