Museum Neues Weimar

In one of the first museum buildings in Germany (1869), the current permanent exhibition shows first-class international works of art from the Realism, Impressionism and Art Nouveau periods. The works of the Weimar School of Painting and the avant-garde promoted by Harry Graf Kessler are also on display. A large museum workshop invites young and old to experiment with handicrafts.

The museum building was originally built for the Grand Ducal art collection. Since 2019, the Museum Neues Weimar has been part of the "Quartier Weimarer Moderne" around the Bauhaus Museum Weimar.
