NODEPRESSIONROOM

In the location's words:

We are the NODEPRESSIONROOM collective and we make art the way we like it.

We own the shop window gallery at Dachauer Straße 157 in Munich and the space behind it, where our studios are located.

NODEPRESSIONROOM was initiated in winter 2020 (by Marlene Meier) against the Corona pandemic. It was intended to provide visitors and passers-by with some variety during the coronavirus winter, while observing the prescribed hygiene rules, and to be a platform for artists.

Over time, a collective space has developed in the old pharmacy, which now also includes studio space. The rooms adjacent to the exhibition space were renovated by the initial 14 artists on their own initiative and are now used as workspaces for a wide variety of art projects.

NODEPRESSIONROOM was created in response to the coronavirus pandemic. The name clearly conveys the message of the project. It is to be understood as a call against the daily grind, but also as a clarification of the precarious situation of many artists and their living conditions (especially in a city like Munich).

NODEPRESSIONROOM e.V. has now become a place that takes up the current art scene in relation to the existing circumstances and makes it accessible to viewers. It is a public space, for anyone and everyone.

We are a shop window gallery. The space is illuminated daily from 8 am to 11 pm. So come by when it suits you and look at the exhibitions through the windows.

The artists are present at selected exhibitions and the doors are open for your visit. You will find this information at the respective exhibition.
