With the Open Embassy, an open space is being created in the former American Club in Bonn on the Rhine, which is being developed into an open experimental space for the practical testing of democratic processes - according to the principle of "doing democracy". During Bonn's time in government, the former club stood for the democratic development of the young Federal Republic.

At the Open Embassy, ideas and formats are developed, tried out and critically scrutinized in order to live democracy and advance it in a solution-oriented and experimental way. Participation and cooperation, creativity and artistic impulses as well as collaboration with civil society play a central role here.

The Open Embassy develops its own program with regional, national and international reach. It also offers partners its spaces for related activities and events.
