Right in the heart of the Hanseatic city of Bremen and just a stone's throw from Bremen Central Station, Bremen's largest event hall rises up. An architectural masterpiece that makes the hearts of music and sports fansalike beat faster: The ÖVB Arena (formerly Stadthalle Bremen).

The ÖVB Arena is Bremen's top address for German and international superstars. Cro, Jan Delay and Nina Chuba are among the recurring acts. The former Stadthalle Bremen has also made a name for itself on the international stage. Elton John, the Rolling Stones, AC/DC and ABBA have all played concerts in Bremen.

In addition to concerts by national and international stars, the Stadthalle Bremen regularly hosts sporting events. Basketball, handball, volleyball, soccer, table tennis, judo, motocross, cycling or equestrian sports: every sport becomes a thrilling experience here - from a local derby to a European or World Championship. 77 meters long, 40 meters wide and 20 meters high: since its construction in the 1960s, the ÖVB-Arena has become a landmark of the Hanseatic city of Bremen. The six reinforced concrete pillars of the former Stadthalle rise up like the bow of a ship - initially an important part of the construction, they were retained after the arena was renovated in 2005 and give the ÖVB Arena its incomparable look. At that time, the maximum capacity was increased to 14,000 seats, so that the ÖVB Arena in Bremen is now one of the top 10 largest venues in Germany. Every year, the ÖVB Arena hosts ~60 events and functions.

The parking lot of the ÖVB Arena also regularly serves as a venue for numerous other events in Bremen. For example, the parking lot is home to the flea market on the Bürgerweide every Sunday in summer, the Freimarkt in autumn and the Osterwiese at Easter.

The ÖVB Arena is also located on the same site as the Congress Centrum Bremen and various exhibition halls.

The parking lot directly adjacent to the ÖVB Arena offers parking spaces for up to 2500 vehicles on the Bürgerweide. An additional 350 parking spaces are available in the parking garage of the Congress Center bremen. Other parking garages are within walking distance.
