Since 2016, the annual Rhine-Neckar Tent Festival has been held on the Mannheim Maimarkt grounds, right in the heart of the Rhine-Neckar metropolitan region with its 2.4 million inhabitants. The fact that such an event had previously been missing in the UNESCO City of Music Mannheim is shown by the great response: with around 11,000 visitors at the beginning, the festival has developed over the years into one of the largest festivals in the region with up to 30,000 visitors expected for 2021 and has thus proven itself to be an integral part of the local cultural and music scene in the Rhine-Neckar region and beyond!

As part of the festival, a wide variety of individual concerts by national and international top stars are offered over a period of approx. 1 month. Young and old are equally addressed: whether pop / rock / electro / alternative / hip hop or comedy - the musical program offers something for everyone!

The line-up of recent years has included acts such as Slayer & Anthrax, Prinz Pi & Teesy, Joris & Namika, Kaya Yanar, Max Giesinger, Helge Schneider, Judas Priest & Megadeth, Tocotronic, Wincent Weiss, Johannes Oerding, Glasperlenspiel, Status Quo, Alvaro Soler, Rea Garvey and many more. They will be performing in the beautiful Master Palace tent, with both seating (approx. 2,000) and standing room (approx. 5,000) available.

The festival pursues a family-friendly and sustainable concept and is not only musically in tune with the times, but also impresses with its cultural diversity. In addition to the concert highlights at one of Germany's best-known open-air venues, there is also a diverse food court featuring wine and beer merchants, food stands and regional partners.
