Lake Rheinau is located in the local recreation area on the border between Mannheim-Rheinau and Brühl. It is divided into different usage zones and offers numerous recreational opportunities. There is a swimming area, a fishing zone with jetties, a controlled diving area and a water-skiing zone marked with buoys. There are sunbathing lawns and a table tennis area for sun worshippers and splashers. There are playgrounds for children around the lake as well as paved paths for walkers and cyclists who can circle the lake. Shopping facilities and parking spaces are also available. Diving is only possible by prior arrangement and with a diving badge.
