Philara is a private collection of contemporary art and includes over 1000 works of various genres such as painting, sculpture, installation, photography and works on paper. In the mid-1990s, Gil Bronner began to build up his collection, which, with its strong ties to the Kunstakademie Düsseldorf, is primarily dedicated to promoting local emerging artists*.
