Since 1984, one of the oldest collections on inland navigation on the Rhine has been presented here. The house, which operates under the name SchifffahrtMuseum, shows exhibits on the history of shipbuilding, trade and travel on the river and the ecology of the Rhine. The history is vividly presented in pictures, films and archives. The top floor is particularly hands-on and vivid: from the café there, visitors can enjoy the best view of the river and the Rhine ships sailing along it.
