The baroque summer residence of the Saxe-Weimar and Eisenach family is located on a hill in the middle of an extensive park with an orangery and a pleasure garden and maze. Since 1923, the palace has served as a museum of 18th century arts and crafts and houses a selection of exquisite porcelain from the Weimar ducal family. These provide an insight into the life of the court in the late Baroque and Rococo periods. Since 2024, the palace's magnificent rooms have served as a presentation area for contemporary art. Due to restoration work, the porcelain cannot currently be exhibited.
