The Stoltze Museum of Frankfurter Sparkasse was founded in 1978 and has been supported by Frankfurter Sparkasse and the Frankfurter Sparkasse Foundation ever since. In 2018, the Stoltze Museum moved to Frankfurt's new Old Town. The ideal location, as Stoltze was born just 150 meters from the museum in the Rebstockhof. Part of the estate has been creatively recreated. The Stoltze monument, created in 1895, has been back in its original place on the neighboring Hühnermarkt since 2018.

The new Stoltze Museum of Frankfurter Sparkasse is divided into two sections. In one part in the stairwell of the "Weißer Bock" and three rooms in the rear building of the "Goldene Waage". The exhibition focuses on the political author, freedom poet and satirist Friedrich Stoltze (1816 - 1891), who campaigned for civil rights and democracy. Stoltze's life and work are presented in five richly illustrated chapters. A touchscreen display allows visitors to browse through Stoltze's main work, the satirical weekly magazine "Frankfurter Latern". Original exhibits from Stoltze's household and an audio station on personalities with whom Stoltze was associated are housed in the fireplace room of the "Goldene Waage". A multifunctional media table on the historically most important places in Frankfurt supplements the permanent exhibition and changing special exhibitions with images, sound and texts written by Stoltze.
