Theater am Schlachthof (TAS)

The independent Theater am Schlachthof (TAS) in the Barbaraviertel district of Neuss, close to the city center, has been presenting its own productions and guest performances in an informal, audience-friendly atmosphere since 1994.
On its two stages (100 and 70 seats), it entertains audiences with its varied program (children's theater / plays / comedies / musical theater / reading series / cabaret).
As the largest independent professional theater in the region, the TAS is known far beyond the city limits for its interdisciplinary approach.
Every year, almost 200 events take place in front of around 25,000 spectators, mostly at weekends. STUNK(the cabaret show at carnival time) is the theater's largest external event in Neuss and Düsseldorf. In addition to its theatrical activities, the TAS is also a socio-cultural center with educational theater programs for children, young people and senior citizens.
