TD BERLIN

The TD Berlin is a theater in the center of the city, centrally located between Alexanderplatz and the Spree River. The program includes a weekly changing program of new productions and performances with reference to current social issues. We invite our audience* to well over 30 different theater works and related formats each year. Our goal is to tell stories in an unusual way and to open up space for new readings. TD Berlin sees itself as a place of reflection and negotiation. In our program, we therefore take positions that are as aesthetically stimulating as they are relevant in terms of content. We increasingly interfere in the debates about the future of our cities and show theater works on current issues of coexistence. The changing stages and spaces are also meeting places for urban society to gather and question in exchange with artistic statements. As a production venue, we are an important partner for independent companies and artists* in local, national and international networks. We cooperate with professional theater makers and up-and-coming talents in the development of their projects. The program focus is on the further development of contemporary spoken theater, but also on festivals and city-related outdoor events.
