Villa Hügel in Essen was the home of the Krupp family of entrepreneurs from 1873 to 1945. With its 399 rooms in the middle of a 28-hectare park overlooking Lake Baldeney, it is much more than the residence of a well-known business family - it is a symbol of the age of industrialization in Germany.

A symbol that you can see, walk through and experience, as Villa Hügel and the park with its numerous paths and sculptures are open to the public. A permanent exhibition in the so-called "Little House" informs you about the history of the Krupp family and company. It is also home to the Krupp Historical Archive, with its extensive holdings a point of contact for researchers from Germany and abroad.
