Provoke and inspire

The villa sponte zeitkultur e.V. association was founded in mid-2012 in a villa built in 1928 by Consul Heinemann at Osterdeich 59b. The intention was and is to create a place where a variety of cultural events can take place. The name of the association says it all: events are planned and offered spontaneously, on their own initiative, without state subsidies or influence. Members, friends and visitors are encouraged to take the initiative themselves, be it in organizing events, making suggestions or supporting the implementation of events. Voluntary work is therefore a cornerstone of the association's cultural work.

The association's work focuses on organizing and staging art exhibitions, readings, concerts and theater performances. The aim is to achieve the greatest possible diversity within a cultural sector.

Small and fine

Thanks to the many well-attended events, villa sponte has made a name for itself beyond the borders of the district. It has a firm place in Bremen's cultural landscape. The aesthetically and acoustically outstanding first floor rooms of the villa, the small, intimate setting reminiscent of salons, offer ideal conditions for a wide-ranging cultural exchange.
