Photography has influenced humanity from the year of its birth to the present day. It has radically changed human perception, played an essential role in collective memory, contributed greatly to everyday life and the culture of remembrance, made an undisputed contribution to history and "historiography", enriched the press, public relations, literature (travelogues, reports, etc.), art and science. What's more, photography has become indispensable for culture and the art scene. Photography has also given mankind a new art: the art of cinema. Without photography, the art of cinema could not exist. Some countries have even declared photography to be a "national art".
