48h Wilhelmsburg is the showcase of the Music from the Elbe Islands network. Every year on the 2nd weekend in June, musicians of all cultures, genres, professional levels and ages from Veddel and Wilhelmsburg perform in their neighbourhood for 48 hours.

On this weekend from Friday 18:00 to Sunday evening 18:00, Hamburg's Elbe islands will be in a musical state of emergency. Bands and musicians from the Elbe islands will play everyday venues and neighbors will come together to experience diversity and solidarity. They celebrate together, discover new places and listen to music that they sometimes didn't even know existed.
