With the BienenBrückenBauen project, we want to work together with committed citizens to actively protect wild bees in the state capital of Dresden. Our aim is not only to improve the habitats and reproduction sites of wild bees. We also want to record the occurrence of wild bee species in the project area and at the same time impart knowledge about the species.

Help us to improve the situation by becoming part of a network to support wild bees in Dresden. We look forward to any kind of help. Please feel free to write to us.

Species extinction has long been a sad reality. Around 58,000 animal species disappear from the planet every year. In Germany, insects, the most species-rich class with around 70% of all animal species, are particularly affected.

Wild bees are also among the declining species groups. In Germany, almost half of the species occurring are endangered or already extinct. Their habitat is becoming scarce. Both nesting habitats and food sources are lacking.
