What is DENK MAL AM ORT? DMAO commemorates people who were persecuted during the Nazi era.

Where does DENK MAL AM ORT take place? In 2025, DMAO will take place in Berlin, Hamburg, Frankfurt, Coburg, Munich and Reuterstadt Stavenhagen. At the places where our former neighbors live and work: in the house, in the garden, in the apartment, in the stairwell, in the courtyard or in front of the apartment building.

When does DENK MAL AM ORT take place? DMAO takes place every year on a weekend around the anniversary of the capitulation of the respective city; in 2025 in Berlin on May 10 and 11.

How does DENK MAL AM ORT take place? House and apartment doors will be opened, the names of our former neighbors, fragments of their biographies, stories of persecution and flight will become visible in exhibitions, readings, memorial walks, lectures, films and discussions.
